Cassandra De La Rosa

Her training began in Cincinnati & Lexington Metropolitan studying Hip-Hop, Modern, Lyrical, Ballet and Pointe.  She comes from Ellington Dance Company, Kentucky Ballet Theatre and Frankfort School of Ballet.  Ms. De La Rosa has been a soloist in productions such as Porgy and Bess, Carmen Jones, Kentucky Sate University Half-Time Shows. She De La Rosa moved back to Ohio and started dancing and training with Not Just Ballet, Selah, Nomel Inspirational Dance Theater, Theater Street Dance Academy, and Tapestry Performing Arts. She has even had the opportunity to dance for the Columbus Cyclone (Columbus’ IBL Basketball League) ) and Vickie Winans..  Studying under great teachers such as Zoe Ellington Britton, Rafaela Cento Muñoz, Ariel Castro, Lee Edward, China White; she desires to continue their legacy and historical contributions on into the next generation.

 

Ms. De La Rosa has taught and choreographed many award winning pieces for different dance schools, high schools, community centers, churches national pageant contestants and was hired as a dance coach on the college level .  Ms. De La Rosa has even volunteered her time to teach dance to local groups of at-risk children and teens and has led them to win statewide competitions in less than one year.  She loves to mold children/youth to be fabulous dancers, strive for excellence and be all you can be through hard work.  Not only does she promote dance in the community but also with church.  She has an minor and certificate in Dance & Dance Theatre while obtaining a AA in Liberal Arts, BA in Business Administration with focus in Management and a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

 

She is thankful to God and to those who have and will continue to support her career, and she honors you all with the best that she has been trained to give

Barbara Nolasco

Instructor/Choreographer

Barbara Nolasco was born and raised in New York City and began her dance training in 1997 at the Harlem School of the Arts. There she was awarded a full dance scholarship to receive extensive training in Modern, Ballet, Jazz and traditional West African dance. In 2007, she moved to Columbus, OH and continued to pursue her passion for dance performing in various events and festivals throughout the city.
